So I'm prepping for the opportunity to capture some "live" overcast audio at the festival this weekend... it's Friday, October 20, and the {unnamed} vendor says the portable audio recorder I want is in stock and ready to ship 2-day.
On October 27, I call because no package has arrived and the order tracking feature on their website is broken, they say it's on backorder (thanks a lot for telling me!), and should arrive on Monday the 30th.
Today, I call the vendor to see when the unit will arrive... it's still on backorder.
My good friends at zZounds... why did I forsake thee? I *knew* you were a good vendor, I'd dealt with you time and time again, and I got lured away by another vendor who could save me a few bucks (a stupid move of colossal proportions)... and I put myself in this pickle.
And today, zZounds proved, yet again, why they are the best music and audio equipment vendor on the internet. I called ten minutes ago, a knowledgeable sales rep processed my order and my portable audio recorder arrives TOMORROW.
Professionals, to a tee. I shall not stray again.

I started getting disappointed a bit while reading this entry. Good to hear zZounds is going to pull through for you in time! I almost ordered my electric bass from them over the summer; I think you've convinced me to go ahead and try them for my next musical purchase.
