Same Sprint, Different Day
Sprint = Embarq = Sprint = Stinks. After a five day, unexplained outage, my home internet is back up tonight. A couple quick notes while I play catch-up.
- I’ve posted my latest BloodSpell Sound Article, and also updated my list here.
- Overcast #011b is coming soon, thanks for your patience.
- Significant progress has been made on finishing the Classic Recams, and and Father Frags Best will soon be remastered on video for the first time. It will be good to get those out there and behind me as I head into new frontiers in 2007.
- I’ve also done some minor retuning of my website, including a new header image for the first time in, what, eight years? Also a wider page format and streaming video quickly and easily accessible right on the site, fueled by Stage6 and YouTube. What do you think?
- I’ve done a voiceover cameo (Randy) in Decorgal’s Adventures in Dating Episode 7, which will probably be released before Thanksgiving.
- Just finished sound work for a very unique experimental piece by another filmmaker, as yet untitled. You’ll be hearing more from me soon on that; I’m quite happy to have had the opportunity to work on something like this, it felt a bit like painting with audio.
- Check out Ken Thain’s post-festival writeup, very good stuff. How can he be such a big fan of me when I’m such a big admirer of him?
- If you haven’t seen it yet, the machinima film of the season is not a machinima film, per se, but a film about machinima people. Ricky Grove’s festival documentary. So far he’s released the short version, and a more lengthy one is in the works. It’s a masterpiece, and watching it makes me feel all warm inside.

So glad you are back among us. Strange that so many people had computer/internet related issues. My hard-drive failed and I just barely got it transferred. Remember to back up you data everyone.
Looking forward to reading your new comments on Bloodspell sound. What an excellent source of information/learning for the sound community. Thank you. And don’t forget to bring the dog back at some point. I love him.
I’m overjoyed to hear the Father Frags Best is coming to video remastered. I really like that film. This will be a good opportunity for the rest of the community to finally see it.

My interest if piqued with the word “experimental”. You don’t often see that in the machinima world. Sounds marvellouw. I’ll be first in line.
And thanks for the plug on my documentary. Enjoyed putting it together. Your praise makes it worthwhile. I’ll have a longer version up in a week or so.
