MRE on Fresh Produce
Male Restroom Etiquette has been featured on mtvU’s show, “Fresh Produce.” (WARNING: Their video plugin only appears to work with IE at this time, no Firefox etc. Shame on MTV.)
It’s a very brief clip, but I guess I kind of feel like it’s the Jackie Robinson moment for this film, which I’ve had trouble getting EA clearance to air elsewhere. I honestly don’t think it will mean that will get any easier, but it’s nice that some more viewers will get to see at least part of it. They don’t exactly light the way for their viewers to be able to see the rest of the film, which is disappointing but well within their rights.
My subscriber count on YouTube is way up in the past 24 hours; hundreds of new channel subscriptions. Naturally, I was wondering where these people came from. As I’ve looked into it deeper, it seems apparent that I’m somehow the beneficiary of a scam on the YouTube system. I’ve spot-checked several dozen of the new subscribers: they all joined YouTube moments before subscribing to my channel, kept their profile info very slim, and subscribed to me and to one other channel, a creator of videos over on MySpace. They are happening with such frequency, I have to think a machine is behind it rather than many humans. Someone is taking advantage of an exploit, and for some reason I’m included. So I expect the count will drop back down to normal once someone at YouTube figures out what’s going on.
I’d notify YouTube support, but I’ve developed the impression in past dealings that I’m just talking to a machine there too, so what’s the point? After all, they’ve got the capital to hire a real person in support now… or at least a skin job. Preferably a Brother Cavil, so we can talk philosophy too.

Congratulations, Phil. Glad to see you getting wider opportunities for this little gem. Sure wish we could get EA to wake up. Funny about the YouTube situation. At least someone who deserves it is getting the benefit there.
