The Relm and The Growing ToDo
Had the pleasure of taking in Blue Man Group for the second time the other night, but just as entertaining was the opening act, Mike Relm. His one man show was outstanding. He’s got some CDs and a DVD, but I highly recommend catching him live when the opportunity presents itself. It was quite an experience.
I said I was going to check back in before I began post on the video… I lied. I just HAD to jump in there and get to editing, and made excellent progress over the weekend and each night so far this week. I’m somewhere around 50% done, though some of the most difficult editing still lies ahead; but everything is falling into place just like on my mental storyboard, and that is very gratifying. Still no ETA, but I did discover some things about Sony Vegas and video quality which I’ll have to make a point to share when I’m finished. Oh, that I could redo MRE with what I learned this weekend.
Speaking of MRE, I’ve got a true-to-life MRE nightmare story to share with you in the next overcast, which will be recorded in the coming week. Plenty of other fodder for a full episode too, including a machinima film I’ll bet some of you have never seen which really impressed me recently. I also have an interview set up for the next-next episode which I’ll be announcing shortly. Finally, a little web-related tool for the machinima community which I’ve been coding in my (lol) spare time over the past couple months, which once again, the tease that I am, I’m not ready to formally announce. *sigh*
Ending the current task list are two remaining BloodSpell sound articles, and the encoding tutorial project, the latter of which I’ll be finishing as I’m wrapping the renders on the music vid.
Oh, and yo soy un estudiante del español. Every Tuesday night.
By the way, if you, like gToon, aren’t too happy about The Departed cleaning up at the Oscars, you might just enjoy this. LowTax once worked for Planetquake (he and I lived in Nashville, TN at the same time, I believe, just prior to him moving to CA to take that job), thereafter leaving them and starting SomethingAwful. I’ve always enjoyed his sense of humor.
