If you're using Wordpress for your blog, and it's hosted on your own server, check your Wordpress version and, if it's not at least 2.3, I recommend you upgrade immediately. Some nasty things are going on with some exploits in earlier versions, best to protect yourself before "they" find you.
This handy guide covers all the steps for backing up your blog database and files, performing the upgrade, etc. If you need assistance beyond the scope of that guide, contact me privately. DO NOT post in the comments below that your blog is vulnerable and would someone please help you... a fact you really don't want to broadcast.
If you are not using Wordpress, don't let this alert discourage you; Wordpress is a phenomenal blogging platform, and extremely powerful. It powers not only this blog, but the overcast podcast, as well as the main z-studios site and the MachiniFeed Updates Blog.

thanks for the tip, Phil. I'll get my site updated immediately.
So I'm running version 1.3. Is that ok?
hehe. April fools! Thanks for the tip, Phil. I did pretty good struggling through my last upgrade -- except that the theme I chose is no longer supported and I had to scour the net to find a workaround for the new errors that were introduced. Thank goodness for talkative techies!!
