HL2 Hitchcock Tribute
Xanatos has created a wonderful piece called Half-Life 2 Anxiety, packed to the gills with Hitchcock references and recreation, and featuring some of the fantastic soundtrack music from Hitchcock’s most memorable films.
I’m going to skip embedding the video, because going to the full page on YouTube allows you to experience both the video annotations as well as watch the video in higher quality.
I’ve been a fan of Xanatos’ work for quite a while now; I think this is his best work. Some fantastic action scenes and camerawork, and one of the most satisfying endings to a short I’ve seen in some time.

And you can catch the sequel, Half-Life 2 Nightmare, right here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZWLzucirWs4

Hey Overman, thanks a ton for the spotlight and kind words. I did see this when you originally posted it but the reason I’m posting now is that I thought I’d share something that I just added to the Anxiety annotations - the ‘bathroom’ joke was a reference to the “TrashTa1k at the 2006 Machinima Festival” video Matt D. over at ILL Clan did, a video I’m sure you remember. By the way, do you know what Matt is up to lately?

Hey, yeah, I worked with them for my bit in that video, cool!
Matt is still with Ill Clan as far as I know, I think they’re all working on something new but keeping pretty quiet about it for now. I hope to see him again at the festival this year.
