A thank you and quick Q&A for the wonderful fans of Male Restroom Etiquette.
I've also released episode #037 of the overcast, which is the first time broadcast of an interview Lars Fuchs from AMAS conducted of me over Skype in December of 2006, shortly after the Machinima Film Festival for that year. Enjoy!

I can admitt to you after all this time... I couldn't think worse about this movie (about the theme) when it came out. In one moment, when I watch it for first time I stop the movie and erased from hard drive (this was after the line "kidney pudding").
Toilet humor was the lowest form of entertainment I can think of.
It still is, but after some time of reading your posts and looking your other stuff I saw that there must be some brain beside toilet, so I watched movie again. And again. And again.
Now I think this movie is brilliant.
Are we still OK for these beers? :)
Haha! Of course, Tom, and thank you for your candor. I doubt you're alone in those feelings.
Happy Anniversary, Phil. MRE has to be one of the great classic Machinima Films. I love the satire and wit in the film. Not to mention it was the first Sims film that actually worked as a film. Your deadpan narration and the pitch-perfect music as two of my favorite bits. MRE raised the bar for machinima filmmakers both in content and in technique. You know, I have to admit I haven't listened to your commentary, but I will soon.
The MRE Turns 2 vid is very, very funny. Lisa kept looking over at me as I kept bursting out with laughter. I had no idea so many people were obsessed with the director of MRE being gay or not. Wonderful way to deal with it and have fun. 7,000 comments from the groundlings. You must have had a bottle of Bushmill's next to you to deal with it.
Congrats Phil! I have to admit that I would love to see Female Restroom Etiquette. Love the Q and A session and blooper. lol.
Congratulations, Phil. In many ways, MRE was one of the first films (along with Only The Strong Survive and Red vs. Blue) that made me interested in film in a serious way. In many ways, I can thank MRE for inspiring me to major in film studies. It proved to me that anyone, even a 9-5 working man with a family, could create not only a film, but a work of art. All it takes is a little inspiration and a little tenacity. So thank you, as understated as that sounds.
This is one of the nicest things you can say to the author, Krad. You put a smile on a face of grumpy old me in very sensitive period of waiting for first morning coffee.
All thumbs up for both of you.
@krad - Tom is right, that is indeed one of the nicest things that can be said to an author. Thank you so much.
U R Gay.
WFT is this shit?!!!
i mean WTF!!!
@Zuckerman - I'm not clear what it is you're reacting to?
Zuckerman, if you talking about todnyc post, he is joking. I like his sense of humor. I am sure Phil understand, too. Even he is gay.
Oh yeah, wow, I didn't even think about that, I'd assumed it was to something I'd done in the video. If you're reacting to todnyc's comment, yeah it's definitely a joke, and one very much in the spirit of MRE's satire.
You guys!!!!! I was joking ALONG WITH TODDNYC! "WFT is this shit?" is a common a-hole youtube comment. I guess I missed the mark.
did i mention i also have sislexia?
on
@ Phil - what's "on?"
and huuuuge conratz.
Thanks.
And good news! I guess you don't have dyslexia, else the "on" would have made sense as an answer to your question. :)
LOL. We've sucessfully recreated a youtube flame war, so to speak.
@todnyc - Success!!! P.S. Yer gay.
@ Phil - Random aside: I'm getting your machinima-making ass drunk as hell next week so be prepared.
TL;DR
Well, Phil, it looks that you are star of Machinima section on Cambridge festival and on BBC Network. :)
