SWTOR: Deceived Cinematic Trailer

A trailer that makes me second guess the appropriateness of every other situation in my life so far where I invoked the words, "jaw dropping."

Watch it here: http://www.swtor.com/media/trailers/deceived-cinematic-trailer

Anyone else catching the Monty Oum flavor of this? Excepting, of course, the distinct lack of 'babes,' the action sequences remind me of his vibe for some reason.

Dude - I haven't said this in a while, but here goes:

SUPER ULTRA HELLA MEGA AWESOME 3D ANIMATION!

Peas Out

Aye, I bet it was Blur Studios who constructed that trailer. No animation or model design like theirs.

Saw this during their press conference. The slow motion "300-esque" bits are annoying as hell, but overall, pretty badass. That's how you show Jedi getting owned: with them actually putting up a fight. Sigh... what ROTS could have been...

disclaimer : No younglings were harmed during the seiging of this coruscant.

Holy [am I allowed to swear] This is just incredible. The scene at the begining with the lighting ad the slow pans, damn! Agree with Shawn, thought the slow-mo is not for this sort of movie, but hell, it still works, Great find Phil! This is better then Beowulf.

I'm not all that bugged by the slowdown shots. Not sure why. It's the kind of "effects-for-effects'-sake" thing that would normally turn me off, but I find its use here very effective. Maybe we're put off by it because it's nontraditional in the Star Wars universe?
