- My June 1 appearance on The Wolf & Dulci Hour (podcast) is now available for download. I talk about CrazyTalk and the 1000 Words series.
- NY Times: Web Series Tied to 'Blade Runner' Is In The Works - The creators are embracing the Creative Commons license for distribution, which I think may be a Hollywood first for a major director.
- Treadster's DoubleKill Episode 1 is now available in HD, truly the way it was meant to be seen.
- Dave Tyner, creator of DoubleKill, has graciously published a three part tutorial for the Unreal Engine FaceFX system: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
- Dr. Nemesis just released a test video for a new series he's working on, a series featuring a crossover of Marvel/DC comics characters. It is delicious, check it out!
- Quidam 3, the amazing character creation software, is out, and Tony Bannan has given us a nice "first look" at the program
- The trailer for Jin Sung Choi's Entering the Mind Through the Mouth is just the latest in great films to find its way into the Recommended Viewing section of the Z-Studios Forum. If you haven't already joined us there, we hope you'll do so today. Great machinima and general filmmaking talk for adults.
- Also on that forum, visible to registered members only, I've started up an idea giveaway! Film story ideas that seemed to have some promise but I realize I won't have time to produce them all so I'm letting them go. Why throw decent ideas you don't have time to pursue into the bin? There's a simple honor system in place, you can peruse the ideas currently up for grabs (either for inspiration or acquisition), or offer up your own if you like.
