This masterful animated short film by Korean team MESAI really took my breath away. Gorgeous textures and lighting, wonderful animation, great soundscape and music, and really engaging storytelling too. And as far as I'm concerned, it's a master's class in terms of shot selection. The film is a SIGGRAPH 2009 juried pick; if you're going to the event in New Orleans, don't miss the chance to see this on a big screen. Thanks, Sisch, for the recommendation. You can download the film in HD from their site.
Since Ricky Grove turned me on to it, I've come to feel that some of the freshest filmmaking in the world is coming from Korean directors right now. And now I see it's home to the same in animation. Just wow.

I'm glad you like it as much as I do! All the little details in it, it's just amazing.
I would kill to be able to have those flowing curtains in machinima...(okay, not literally, maybe..) :D
The Koreans keep coming up with surprising stuff. I don't like all of what I see, but it's certainly interesting.
