Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West

It's a new short-short I animated, but a bit of a different context. I mentioned Voovees in yesterday's post, and alluded to some forthcoming collaboration between ThinkingCactus and myself... and lo and behold, last night it hit the web.

Taylor vs. Kanye

The backbone of Voovees is 30-second machinima (ZenCub3d) animation, but what makes it different is that users are invited to insert their own text into the speech bubbles of the characters. I'm betting someone will come up with better lines than I did, which is of course the whole point.

Keep an eye on Voovees. Right now the videos are Flash-encoded, and the only thing customizable is the text. All I'm going to say at this point is, it will not forever be so. Voovees is a work in progress, aimed at a mass audience, and while its appeal might not be gigantic to someone who creates machinima and is accustomed to high levels of customization and control, it IS machinima-driven technology, run by a couple of swell guys at ThinkingCactus. So if you have a chance to support it by spreading the word on Twitter, Facebook, etc. it would be greatly appreciated.

And to reiterate from yesterday...

By the way, the next generation of ZenCub3d is now accepting signups for a public beta, where you'll get to see the latest enhancements to ZenCub3d (no longer available as a free download) as well as get some insight into what's coming with the Voovees site. If you'd like to be a part of this test and get your hands on the software, signups are at this web page.
