Introducing... Google Stooge

A solution for today's eco-conscious users, especially for those disenfranchised by the T-Mobile Sidekick data loss debacle. Technology that is appealing even to those who are anti-technology.

It's much more than a Sidekick... it's a friend.

You have made something special here Phil that definitely warrants a few more viewings. I know I'll be going back to look at some of those shots and try to figure out how you did some of the things you did. This little movie exemplifies the saying "if there's a will, there's a way." Really liked the shot of the car driving past the trash bags. Reminds me that magic / illusion is a first cousin to film.

Excellent, rapid fire pacing too. The short shot length of a lot of the clips cleverly hides the "blending" of different footage sources (the low res driver in the taxi, for instance - something I wouldn't have noticed if I was only watching leisurely). Not a single dull moment or unnecessary clip in the movie, in my opinion.

Enjoyed the "contacts" references too. I had forgotten about that piss-ant from the m.com forums. And that pompous guy from mprem. He was supposed to have played Lando Calrissian, right? :-P Seems like a really long time ago. Thank god for my selective memory.

Was the toilet custom?
Please don't burn my dog.

I'm trying to think of something constructive to say, but all that comes out is feel good word vomit. Voice acting and music is stellar too, as usual. Just so you know - and I mean this - if I had never heard of you or machinima / Moviestorm and saw this. . . I would assume it was made by a team of people. To think that you came up with the idea, staged it, edited it, did the acting, the music, the photography and lighting just kind of blows my mind a little. All of these things coming together and working so well together. Nothing new or unfamiliar to me or any of us I don't think, that kind of "one man film crew" thing, but you create work in each of these areas that's so rich and polished that it seems like it was done by someone specialized in each individual field.

When I said "warrants a few more viewings" I meant that it should be watched more than once.

Sorry for the triple post. . . the YouTube link is broken. "The URL contained a malformed video ID."

@krad - Thanks for the great feedback!!

Also, I fixed the link, thanks for letting me know.

Brilliant.

Can I get one for free?

Hilarious! Great job! Looks like you put a lot of hard work into that and it definitely payed off.

Is it better than the iBuddy?

Most amusing. This could be MRE2!

Oh, man, you really have the parody mode down in machinima, Phil. The tech alone is top flight, but coupled with a funny and at times nasty satirical tone, like Anthony said it could be the next MRE. Pacing, acting, style the whole deal is just great. Really fell off my chair with Semanticus and Borout in-joke. Fits perfectly even if you don't know who these two trolls were/are.

I hope this gets a million views, Phil. So much effort and so beautifully executed. Bravo!

(and yes, I plan on watching it several times because, "what would Dr. Maslow think of the Google stooge?")

That explains why a strange man suddenly appeared on my doorstep claiming he had a message from you....
