"BEAST opens as a kidnapped man wakes up bound in a mysterious room, knowing nothing of his captor, or indeed why he is there, setting the stage for a killer cinematic thrill.

"Most Machinima films rely on in-game effects, fighting and heavy action missing the connection of true character emotion to the audience. BEAST not only connects to the audience, it grips, twists and shakes."

- John Martin, Reallusion Software

Leo constructed this amazing and disturbing film, and then graced me with a sneak preview just prior to release. I was so moved by the film that I dropped what I was doing to help him bring the sound engineering up to the level demanded by his direction and acting. Friend and collaborator Richard Grove assisted in a big way, and together we helped make a truly great short film just a little bit better. I'm so happy to have been a part of it, however small.

  1. I was honoured to find myself on a panel last week at the London Games Fest with Leo when he explained that his key aim with this film was to show emotion on the faces of the characters. Of course, this film shows this extremely well, but I tend to think that the whole story is so cleverly written and acted out that it moves the viewer through one set of emotions to a whole other set - very impressive stuff.
