OverByte #23: More Great Machinima Stuff that Happened in 2009

  1. The Expo, Year 2 - Last year, it felt like a test or an experiment to me. This year, it felt like THE machinima event of the year to be at. Not because of anything we organizers did, but because of you who attended. I'm already excited about next year, are you?
  2. Training Really Took Off - iClone has a number of "Certified Trainers" who are keeping busy.

Expo 2009 Wrap-up

What a tremendous event yesterday, I am happy to report that the Machinima Expo 2009 is getting very positive feedback from those who attended. Those of us who organized it are very pleased with how things went. In spite of a technical glitch right at the beginning of the day regarding capacity - the location had its attendance limit set way too low - it was all in all a much smoother event than last year's.

And next year, we'll strive to be even better.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped by participating, by attending, and by spreading the word.

  • The gigantic group conversation comes to a close
  • Phil interviews Roger (adult machinima director) one more time
  • The overcast finale remix: quite possibly the raunchiest thing ever released on the show

The finale continues

Part 3 of 4 of the overcast grand finale is now available:

Just some of the features in this one...

  • Holy cow, Sisch can sing!

Let the Ending Begin

After sifting through and mixing four and a half hours of audio, I've finally got the grand finale of the overcast ready for release. I'll be releasing the show in four parts, one each Tuesday in the month of May.

The first of these four parts is available here:

After much deliberation, I've decided to leave it for the most part uncensored. Things got a bit wild, just adults being adults.

The Overcast Finale - Slight Change of Plans

Well, I've got good news and bad news. First the "bad" news: the finale show for the overcast podcast is going to be behind its intended schedule of a March 31 release date.

As planned, Ricky and I hopped on Skype Wednesday night, and we spent a few minutes with a handful of people on a conference call.

Ahem... a few minutes. Yeah. Two hours later, we signed off and the Skype recorder almost broke trying to process the resultant audio file.

Join In on the Final Overcast

Next Wednesday, March 25th, 2009, Ricky Grove and I will be meeting on Skype at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time (9:00 p.m. Eastern Time), and will be on for the next couple hours recording our final episode of The Overcast.
