MachinExpo 2010: Virtual World or WWW?
Last night's premiere of Tom Jantol's The Remake (the film and soundtrack are now available) was met with a great turnout and level of enthusiasm. I imagine attendance would have been even higher had I set it for a friendly time outside of North America, something we'll return to doing in on future events.
I want to say a big thank you to D.L. Watson, who runs TMUtheater.com (last night's venue) as a non-profit labor of love. Using Livestream technology, he has created a fantastic spot for people to showcase their work, for TMUnderground members and beyond.
Ricky and I are getting ready to start finalizing plans for Machinima Expo 2010, and some questions have been raised after last year's event.
OverByte #23: More Great Machinima Stuff that Happened in 2009
- The Expo, Year 2 - Last year, it felt like a test or an experiment to me. This year, it felt like THE machinima event of the year to be at. Not because of anything we organizers did, but because of you who attended. I'm already excited about next year, are you?

Expo 2009 Wrap-up
What a tremendous event yesterday, I am happy to report that the Machinima Expo 2009 is getting very positive feedback from those who attended. Those of us who organized it are very pleased with how things went. In spite of a technical glitch right at the beginning of the day regarding capacity - the location had its attendance limit set way too low - it was all in all a much smoother event than last year's.
And next year, we'll strive to be even better.
Thank you so much to everyone who helped by participating, by attending, and by spreading the word.
